Tadpoles

IMG_6507

I'm kinda disappointed in these but wanted to share them anyway. We stumbled on a small pond of tadpoles and I enjoyed looking at them in their various stages of growth.

I wish there had been more light, and maybe I shouldn't have chosen that moment to play with the polarizer but I gave a shot and tried to keep from falling in.

Can you see that there's really small tadpoles in there too? Tons of them! Little black flecks.

  1. I haven't seen a tadpole in AGES!!! Probably the last time I saw one...I was a little kid!! I would have been pretty fascinated by them as well!!

  4. I could use some of these for our pond. I think the egrets ate all my other ones. :(

  5. I think the shots turned out great. I see them occasionally in the pond down by our garden, but unfortunately haven't been able to get any shots this good.

  11. Glad you pointed out the babies ... I never would have realized that's what the specks were.

  13. I've gotta show these to my little one. We've been reading about how frogs develop so he'll get a kick out of these.

  14. That brings back the memories, we always captured a few as kids and watched them develop.
