We brought some strawberry plants home this spring.
While planting them, we noticed some writing on the bottom of the flimsy cups that made us chuckle.
Thank goodness they're also recyclable because I don't see me serving tea to guests in them.
Macro Monday is easy to play, snap a macro (or any close-up) photo, post it on your blog and come back here and sign MckLinky. Don't forget to visit each other. :) MM started on Sept 29, 2008 - Thanx to all of you for helping make it such a fun start to the week!
This is a good one Lisa. I love it. Wonder what was in those cups before?
ReplyDeleteB.
Hi Lisa, this is the first time I've ever joined your meme. I'm glad to have found this one. You have a great looking photos and blog. Wishing you the best of times and a good day tomorrow for your tests...
ReplyDeleteHaha this makes me smile!
ReplyDeleteMacro Monday- Frog
LOL .... Will wonders never cease?
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
That's pretty funny! I can't imagine why they'd be dishwasher safe. They appear to be similar to an ice cream container. Hope your strawberries are growing :)
ReplyDeleteLOL - why they would write that on there is beyond me. I have never planted strawberries, how are they doing?
ReplyDeleteWho does that ... puts a paper cup in the dishwasher??? Too funny!
ReplyDeleteThat's too funny!
ReplyDeleteShould I be washing my take out cups? :)
So glad you shared this - it made me smile.
That is really odd ... they certainly don't look like they would survive a dishwasher!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to use as a pot but never ever I would put that in the dishwasher for recycling tio humans.... strange idea
ReplyDeleteCertainly makes us wonder, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteI don't know about serving tea. Think of how green your guest will think you are!
ReplyDeleteThat's like that Jeff Foxworthy joke: "You might be a redneck if your salad dishes all say Cool-Whip on them." Well, it's nice to think that they are encouraging you to clean them before recycling, but that's not how I would do it.
ReplyDeleteha...that's a good one!
ReplyDeleteOnly in my dishwasher as it isn't working at present..LOL....Michelle
ReplyDeleteHahaha ! how easy they make it now for us, you can put your garbage in the dishwasher, before throwing it away !
ReplyDeleteThey promise to be safe, not necessarily that they would not disintegrate ;-P Good luck on the strawberries!
ReplyDeleteGood observation! As long as you dont put the strawberries in as well! Make you wonder.....Thanks for the smiles.
ReplyDeleteAnne-Marie
Cool :)
ReplyDeleteAnother great macro shots from you Lisa!
Thanks for making me smile on a monday Lisa!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine why someone would want to put that in the dishwasher - wonder what was going through the product designers head............ maybe thats what he serves his drinks in. Good to be back participating in Macro Mondays again - I missed you all. You can play with my header again Lisa lol . Have a lovely week :)Rosie
ReplyDeleteThat really made me smile, lovely!! probably dedicated to the compulsive cleaners...
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday 8)
Very nice!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week ahead.
xo
Love this blog and your theme. Great shots. This is my first time with Macro Monday and I'm having a blast.
ReplyDeleteYou may not be serving tea in those cups but you sure are serving laughter. You got a chuckle out of me!
ReplyDeleteOh, that was really disgusting, but I like your photos!! :)
ReplyDeleteThat comment takes me back in time. I'm glad they are recyclable. Very nice macros as always!
ReplyDeleteThey look more like ice cream cups than plant pots to me! Thanks for the chuckle!
ReplyDeleteThank´s for the smile you gave me. This is really fun. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your pictures.
Cool capture Lisa!
ReplyDeleteGo figure...sometimes things just don't make sense. BTW good luck on your colonoscopy...my hubs just had his last week! The prep is worst then the procedure itself...
ReplyDeleteEagle eyes. This gave me a great chuckle. Better recycle than to dish wash them. I read Janis comment above me and wish you all the best on your colonoscopy, too.
ReplyDeleteIt may be 'safe' in the dishwasher, but I highly doubt it will come out in its original shape. LOL
ReplyDeleteI hate when I do my post early and then forget to sign in *doh*
Great macro Lisa. I think the color and even the angles of your shots are interesting. Very appropriate containers for them too. :-)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your Strawberrys !
ReplyDeleteGreat close ups on the containers :)
That made me smile:)
ReplyDeleteGreat shots - good luck with your strawberriesand - hope they taste sweet:)
ReplyDeleteSome people just can't seem to grasp the obvious, correctamundo?
ReplyDeleteNow that is really interesting, Lisa! Use them for ice cream, perhaps? If I'm going to have to put something in the dishwasher, it might as well be glass!
ReplyDeleteA little late for my Macro Monday shot, but better late than never, right? ;-)
too funny :)
