Strange Macro Monday

We brought some strawberry plants home this spring.

While planting them, we noticed some writing on the bottom of the flimsy cups that made us chuckle.

Thank goodness they're also recyclable because I don't see me serving tea to guests in them.

  4. That's pretty funny! I can't imagine why they'd be dishwasher safe. They appear to be similar to an ice cream container. Hope your strawberries are growing :)

  5. LOL - why they would write that on there is beyond me. I have never planted strawberries, how are they doing?

  6. Who does that ... puts a paper cup in the dishwasher??? Too funny!

  7. That's too funny!
Should I be washing my take out cups? :)
So glad you shared this - it made me smile.

  8. That is really odd ... they certainly don't look like they would survive a dishwasher!

  9. Great idea to use as a pot but never ever I would put that in the dishwasher for recycling tio humans.... strange idea

  10. Certainly makes us wonder, doesn't it?

  11. I don't know about serving tea. Think of how green your guest will think you are!

  12. That's like that Jeff Foxworthy joke: "You might be a redneck if your salad dishes all say Cool-Whip on them." Well, it's nice to think that they are encouraging you to clean them before recycling, but that's not how I would do it.

  14. Hahaha ! how easy they make it now for us, you can put your garbage in the dishwasher, before throwing it away !

  15. They promise to be safe, not necessarily that they would not disintegrate ;-P Good luck on the strawberries!

  19. I can't imagine why someone would want to put that in the dishwasher - wonder what was going through the product designers head............ maybe thats what he serves his drinks in. Good to be back participating in Macro Mondays again - I missed you all. You can play with my header again Lisa lol . Have a lovely week :)Rosie

  28. Go figure...sometimes things just don't make sense. BTW good luck on your colonoscopy...my hubs just had his last week! The prep is worst then the procedure itself...

  29. Eagle eyes. This gave me a great chuckle. Better recycle than to dish wash them. I read Janis comment above me and wish you all the best on your colonoscopy, too.

  30. It may be 'safe' in the dishwasher, but I highly doubt it will come out in its original shape. LOL

I hate when I do my post early and then forget to sign in *doh*

  31. Great macro Lisa. I think the color and even the angles of your shots are interesting. Very appropriate containers for them too. :-)

  34. Some people just can't seem to grasp the obvious, correctamundo?

  35. Now that is really interesting, Lisa! Use them for ice cream, perhaps? If I'm going to have to put something in the dishwasher, it might as well be glass!

A little late for my Macro Monday shot, but better late than never, right? ;-)
