A fabulous color! Great job Lisa!
Awesome macro shots!!
Lisa! These are wonderful~ Spirithelpers
oriental poppies are one of my very favorite flowers, I love the large orange blooms, the foliage and even the hanging seed pod as the plant matures. Recently on a drive in the mountains I came across a rare find where I live, a large hillside in a wild area covered with the biggest poppies I have ever seen. They were brilliant and the sight was breathtaking. Drat--I didn't have a camera with me.
These are beautiful!! I love the vibrant colors. They need to be framed on a wall! Here is my Wordless Wednesday!
Nice macro shots! Happy WW.
They are!! Stunning!
Great photo! I always have such a hard time with red flowers - some reason they always look over-exposed on my camera.
They look so gorgeous!
whooshhh sweeping shots!
AB-SO-BLOOMING-LUTE-LY GORGEOUS PICTURES. I've a birthday coming up, I just have to have a better camera. Congrats on POTD

lisa, the colour, the colour. fantastic.
I love poppies! I keep telling Brian that I want them next year in my garden. They remind me of tissue paper!
Your beautiful pictures remind me of The Wizard of Oz where Dorthy and her friends sleep in a field of poppies. One of my favorite films, btw. Have a great day.
Hello! These are stunning photos (and I confess, I'm with Michelle in calling up the Wizard of Oz). This is a beautiful blog.Congratulations on your POTD mention--well deserved!
beautiful... I love seeing all the perfect imperfections.... and seriously, how does a tiny seed produce that color? Great shots!
Congratulations on post of the day! they are really beautiful pictures.

Gorgeous poppy shots Lisa!
Super series. Excellent.
I have poppies but you have better, prettier poppies.Cheater.J/K~Mary
These are wonderful shots of the poppy. They seem like such delicate flowers.
Man, the first thing I thought about was the cycle of life... Doesn't this really represent that? Wow... Look what I have to look forward to. LOL!
I'm sensing a theme here... witches on broomsticks, poppies... And Toto too?
Fantastic poppy photos! I have found them hard to shoot, because of the lack of contrast in the petals. I never seem to have the right light. These are great!
All 3 photographs are wonderful, but the middle one is awesome. Oops, am trying to clear that word from my adjective list. Our paster said only God is Awesome. I agree, so I guess I will change that to gorgeous!Leedra’s Photos For FunLeedra’s Greeting CardsPhotography By Leedra
