  1. In the first photo it looks like he is getting ready to chomp down on the awning of the next building. My macro monday is about a pet peeve!

  2. Neat lions. Too bad we don't decorate our buildings like this any more -- Lions on the facade, gargoyles on the parapets or one of Leonardo's dragons.

    Nice shots.

  15. Love those old details. Reminds me of the Lion's head door knocker I found for last Macro Monday.

  22. love the texture and eyes of the lion and I think the cow looks like he's jumping over the moon... ok, just kinda, the angles in the shot are very interesting though - makes you want to look a while and figure it out!

  23. He is really neat, but I really like the signs. :)

  24. The only way to take him home is with a chisel (and that doesn't seem like a very good idea).

  25. This whole page is a super group of photos. I was born in Philly but haven't been there in years. A steak sandwich sounds so good! Hope you got to see the Liberty Bell while you were there, a fascinating experience to a then-six-year-old, plus I remember they showed us Betsy Ross' sewing room! Love those school field trips. You don't want to know how many years ago . . .
