  6. Hey lisa, thanks for dropping by, you are not far off, that rose pic was taken at a friend's wedding :)

Fantastic pics! Love the helicopter! I like to take pictures of planes and stuff, but so hard to get a good shot.

  8. Very interesting... I have never witnessed anything like this before.
Advanced farming techniques are rare in developing countries.

  9. I spend a lot o time at a freinds farm throughout the year and I have never witnessed something so cool like that. Where is this farm at? Everytime I go up to the farm I always drive around and take pictures. Something about farm land is so peaceful and surreal!!

Thanks for sharing. They were some of my favorites!

  10. Wow...what an interesting series! I've seen airplanes used as crop dusters, but never a helicopter! Neat. You see such interesting things *whine* :-)

  12. Those guys are fascinating...though a bit nerve-wracking...to watch. Then I wonder what it is they're spraying :-/ Great shots!

  13. I'll bet seeing the helicopter landing on that truck was quite something! We have a lot of crop dusters in the North end of our county but they're all planes - I've never seen a helicopter do that before. Very cool!

  14. Despite all of our farmland in this area, I have never seen that. Very cool!

  20. Awesome close-ups! I know how hard that is because they move so fast. Hopefully you didn't get "dusted" as well.

  21. That sure is something we don't get to see in Belgium! No need for it, it rains enough as it is!

  29. What wonderful shots of the heliocopter dusting crops. I’ve seen planes that do this but never a heliocopter … though we do have heliocopters and planes that do water drops to fight fires here in So Cal. Thanks for sharing ;--)
    Hugs and blessings,

  30. Never seen anything like it. I LOVE the shots with just the helicopter and the clouds. And the last one with the green field and red truck is terrific, too.

  31. Excellent photos, however I feel sorry for the farmer who owns the crops. Having been a duster for over 30 years and having flown both fixed wing and helicopters, airplane spraying is the way to go for best treatment and application. Helicopters are best for the pilot because they can do a lot more work in shorter time periods. But the farmer is only getting 25% coverage on the target area of the plant vs 60% target coverage for the plane. Helicopters blow the spray down to the ground, whereas plane spraying allows the product to settle on the plant. Ivy league studies back up this information as well. I just wish chopper pilots would quit being so greedy and stop feeding co-ops and farmers with bogus information about the advantages of heli operations.
