Doodles

fun monday

The truth of the matter is that I don’t often have opportunity to doodle. But this past week, something occurred, and later I felt the need to make some scribbles. The moment was scary, and sad, and we’re really, really sorry, but my interpretation of the moment had us laughing like silly school girls for quite a while. Please note the sizes of the raccoon and the mini-van - that’s no exaggeration!

Gas around us has dropped to $3.19, which makes us very happy. And the floating head is how I used to draw myself, when I had a perm - I was showing hubs, since he always laughs at my onion-head version of myself.

OH, and when Dennis crawled under the van to check things out he discovered a smily face on the oil filter - left by our mechanic. Seems everyone doodles.

Thanx for a fun Fun Monday iPost!!

  14. Hysterical! And I saw the $3.19 before I saw any other part of the doodle, and just KNEW it had to do with the price of gas!! Great job!

  17. Unbelievable. I saw three of those Racoons, that had encounters with cars today on the Highway. Nothing one can do - they are so determined to get to the other side...
And the Gas prices - wow! It just dropped to $2.85 here. Makes it pretty clear, who was responsible for the heights.
The speculators. (Maybe they pay $20/liter until they rot in hell!)
    Cheers, Klaus

  22. You're right, I'd feel terribly sad about the raccoon too. But you did a super job of sharing it in your doodle! And of course, gas prices here in sunny southern California are ... higher than 3.19! (Clever the way you fit that 9 in!)

  23. I will laugh and not think to hard about what prompted this doodling.

Gas in MO this week was $2.46 when I left. I saw it en route home for $2.37 once. I know it will never get to those lows here, but it dropped $0.14 there at one station in 48 hours. I happened to pass that station about 5 times in 48 hours, and it changed every single time. Hopefully it's a trend!

  24. ‘Kewl’ doodling here … I love the ‘cartoon’ with the ‘critter’ and hope he’s like the Road Runner! LOL
I paid $3.29/gallon on Wednesday at Costco on my way home from getting a new perm. ;--)
    Hugs and blessings,
