Remember the squirrel I played peek-a-boo with at mom's house? I also tried to feed him/her and the others some peanuts. My family watched me attempt to get a peanut in the hole. First I tried tossing it, nope, I could hit the hole, but never made it in. Finally, I put the peanut in a crack in a long branch and raised the branch up, after several attempts I was able to knock the peanut off the branch and onto the ledge of the hole. I managed to get 2 peanuts in the hole, then we waited and watched.
Finally, a squirrel came out and we watched the peanut disappear.

It was nice of him to pose for you. What an obliging squirrel. When does that happen? Fun photos, Lisa.
ReplyDeleteWhat a little ham he is!! :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun, I can almost see you throwing that peanut up there LOL Maybe that is what I need...a feeder of peanuts and then my bird feeder (but I have a feeling the squirrels would finish off the peanut and then the bird food!)
ReplyDeleteI love watching squirrels. This one is particularly adorable with the nut in his mouth.
ReplyDeleteHe's a cute little fella!
ReplyDeleteYour animals always pose for you!!! They look the other way when I try to shoot them for a pic! This guy really is cute!!

ReplyDeleteOh that's just too cool!!! You are obviously VERY patient. I would have been so frustrated the squirrel would have packed his bags and moved to another state due to all the noise (I was making).
ReplyDeleteCool - if you had given him 10 he probably would have tried to put all 10 in his mouth :)
ReplyDeleteYou got your reward!
ReplyDeleteHow can something so aggrevating be so darn cute!
ReplyDeleteNow, that's a much nicer Squirrel story :D
ReplyDeleteThey are such cute fellows :)
a friend of mine had a pet squirrel for several years (she found it as an abandoned baby) and watching it eat in its cage was totally fascinating!
ReplyDeletegreat shots!
Seems like I've been gone forever, these were some fun shots to come back to. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun that must have been! Especially if it keeps him out of the bird seed...
ReplyDeleteHow could squirrel's not like peanuts? LOL You know that is animal they don't have here NM.;)
ReplyDeleteHappy to see you are making peace with the squirrel looks as though it's enjoying the peanuts:)
ReplyDeleteI'm getting worn out just reading all your posts -- I can't imagine how you're keeping up,. ha ha.
ReplyDeleteLast photo: the squirrel is really taken by surprise when u shot the photo. Luckily the peanut did not drop. ;p
ReplyDeleteThe squirrels that rob my bird feeders compensate the loss by being entertaining. They are clever little fellows.
ReplyDeleteFunny how you had to be tricky with a tricky squirrel to get him the nut.
ReplyDeleteHe's probably thinking, "This is the best place I've ever lived!" Lucky little squirrel!!!
