mourning doves

Wisconsin (and Michigan) sees the Mourning Dove as their official state symbol of peace. We often have one or two, hanging around our yard. But today, we had about 30 of them. Thirty living symbols of Peace and Hope.  Refreshing!

  1. I took some pics of mourning doves today too....funny I have not seen them around since Sept and then today they suddenly appeared! I had tons over the summer (and tons of babies)! Nice captures!

  4. you make them look lovely . . . we have a bunch that hang around here, they leave many droppings every where. very trashy birds. I'm not fond of them as you can probably tell.
