Rosey Macro Monday

IMG_8978

As much as I love, love, love, snow, I really am ready for it to go, go, go. :0) So until the ground is no longer white, maybe I should keep flowers around continually.

  1. That last image is gorgeous - well, they all are, but that last one in particular. Rose petals always looked so soft and silky, you just want to bury your nose in them and inhale their heady scent forever....

  6. I bought my wife two dozen, one red, one pink, for our 23rd Wedding Anniversary, which was yesterday. I was just getting my gear out to take some photos when I saw this weeks MM was announced.

Roses make for killer monochromes, especially when printed on metallic paper. :-)

  13. Hi Lisa,
Roses never looked so good! That last peachy shot is sensational. What a great angle. I'm posting my Wisteria macro this week. The petals will soon fall to the sidewalk, but boy were they beautiful this past week.

  15. Beautiful roses! Spring was progressing quite nicely in the Ozarks until it was preempted by winter-like reruns.

  23. I got home quite late last night, but your Macro Monday wasn't up yet, and now I've overslept and I'm late instead of being early! LOL! Never mind. I'm in now!

Your beautiful roses are such a coincidence. I went down to visit Mum for her birthday celebrations (91 today!) and took her a mixed bouquet of roses in many different colours, mixed just with a little gypsophila. She was thrilled with it, and your lovely photos brought that moment back to me! Thanks - I get to enjoy her happiness twice! ;)
