Congrats! I have several pics of me next to the 45 degree sign. then in 2009 got a pic next to the 45 degree sign in the SOUTHERN hemisphere...was a really cool feeling!
Great photos. There is a place in Ireland (can't remember where) called the Giant's Causeway which has similar columnar joints left by cooling lava.
Looks nice and warm there. I can't say I've ever seen Hawaii license plates and I saw plenty having grown up near the Great Lakes Navel Base.
Now I want to see the sheep! :) lol Yellowstone is the perfect spot to mark off those license plates....you see them from about everywhere! More gorgeous captures of this beautiful scenic area!
The natural columns are pretty cool. I'm guessing it was a long, wet drive from Hawaii ;-)
Where are you now?I get lost with all that traveling.
Congrats on Hawaii ... that is a tough one to get on the mainland! And the one sign is just filled with odd quotation marks!
I used to love taking photos of signs when I traveled. Your photos remind me of those times.
I love the first sign. For once in my life, I know where I am in the world. Well, if I were there in Yellowstone, anyway! :-)Fascinatingly cool basalt cliff, a magnificent natural rock garden. Thanks for sharing the tidbit on Shoshone history, and congrats on the Hawaii license plate!
congratulations on the Hawaii plate *hehehe*
Fun photos! I have been thinking of you during this past storm that I am sure you got a taste of. Stay warm!
Hilarious about the license plate. I've been to Yellowstone, but I never saw those signs. I guess they were buried by snow! I went in winter...
These are beautiful!
I love that you had to go to Wyoming to get your Hawaii plate. Beautiful photos!
