I chased this little fellow from flower to flower. I was surprised to see him here so late in the season. I took these in late October.

I was entranced by all the pollen on his legs.

Poor little fellow. :( It did make him more cooperative though.

  1. the bees get slow in the end of the season. They are all gone over here. So are the butterflies.

  2. I was wondering if the butterfly was the dead guy from the last photo that you posed. Glad to hear this one was living. Then I got to the bee....

  3. Great captures Lisa! I am missing these sweet creatures. From time to time I still see a butterfly (when it warms up). This morning it is 27F .... so I doubt I will see many more :(

  6. It's lovely to see a butterfly again - the flowers are gorgeous too. So much colour for so late in the year.

  8. lovely shots. We've had a lot of bees in the house this week. It was really cold and froze everything and then it warmed up again so the bees are awake and looking for something to eat. As soon as the front door opens in they come!

  9. Woof! I wonder why they love flowers when hamburgers taste better. At least for me.

  10. The colors on that butterfly were so soft and subtle. Almost looked spray painted.
