This just in!

I have a bird feeder outside my bedroom window and I love watching the birds. Lately, it's been mostly house finch. The amazing thing. . .

One little female has decided this would be a good nest, lol. I'm really enjoying watching her bring her sticks and wiggle the seed into a bowl and chase off other birds. We'll see what happens. . .

UPDATE: 12:42 pm - She isn't the brightest, it seems for every 2 sticks she brings at least one falls out.  And the fellow keeps bringing things, and dropping them.  He sits atop the feeder often , I guess guarding her?

  2. She may decide that building her nest in the middle of the dining room table is not a great idea. It is a great photo-op for you. Silly birds.

  4. Lucky you! What a great vantage point. I wonder if they'll continue to build there or change location.

  7. That is hilarious! I have finches at my feeder, too, and none of them have tried that... YET!!! But I've seen them pull some absolutely silly behavior. For instance, those tiny little birds have first dibs over the much larger morning doves! Whodathunk?!?

  9. I hate to mention this but I had those widow feeders, the birds were so much fun to watch during the day - but at night rats invaded then and were staring in my windows! No more window feeders for me!
