Macro Monday Spidey

IMG_4420

Do you see what I see? He's on a picnic table, you can see the crack on the slats that make it up - so he's pretty small.

Haden's wonderful eyes found him at one of our campsites in the Everglades.

I like his thorny crown.

But I'm still not much into spiders, lol.

Macro Monday is easy to play, snap a macro (or any close-up) photo, post it on your blog and come back here and sign Mr Linky. Don't forget to visit each other. :)

  1. That is one strange looking spider dude (of dudess) Lisa. Nice shots. Tough to get good spider shots. First you need to fine them before they find you and the light has to be good. I always wanted to catch one on a dewy web backlt by the morning sun. I'm still looking and waiting.

  10. He's an interesting looking little guy. Something about this kind of spider doesn't scare me as much as others. Still wouldn't want one in my house.

  24. He's amazing, isn't he? Well spotted, Haden! And well captured, Lisa!

I had no idea what he was (we don't get those here!) so I had to look him up. He's a Spiny Orb Weaver! And you'll be glad to know he's non-venomous - at least, to people. :)
