Great Egret Macro Monday

I was happy to get this close to the Great Egret but it wasn't quite close enough.

This is better, but I wonder if we can get closer. . .

Well, yes we can. :) I like this I think better than if he was looking at me, it's like we're sneaking up on him.

  9. I love the close up and how you can see all the little feathers sticking up. The bird shots that you've been posting have been amazing. I'm saving up for a good telephoto so I can get a little closer to the birds around me.

  10. Great bird, the beek seems sharp and the eyes looks very intense
    The second one is my favourite where you can see the light in between the beak and it looks like it has a small beard ;-)

  30. oh Lisa, these photos are stunning. isn't it always exciting when we can get up close and personal with the wildlife we're trying to capture? i'm still practicing with my camera to get as good as yourself.
