  8. A blue heron used to show up in my parent's backyard by their fish pond. I was amazed to see it in like a suburban neighborhood. (Although their is a river not too far away.) They are AMAZING creatures (even though I'm not a bird person myself)

  9. Blue herons are one of my favorite birds! It is a tie between herons, tree swallows and hawks. I always know it is finally spring when the herons show up at the swamp down the road. These shots are gorgeous, I am absolutely in love with your photography!

  13. I accidentally stumbled upon a deep Colorado heronry last year, and you've made me hungry to go back and shoot some more! Just two or three more weeks, and they should be nesting again in the very same spot!
