A Christmas Tree Farm

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

Fibi

I know you probably think I’m trying to show you Fibi but really I am trying to remind you of what tree farm looks like (or show you, if you haven’t ever been to one). Look behind Fibi and see all the pretty Christmas trees.

This, does not look like a tree farm at all, but it claims to be one. ??? This little place is pretty close to our house, and when we came upon it a couple of weeks ago we were puzzled.

Merry Christmas to all and to all. . .keep out! What the heck?? The piece of paper someone has stapled onto the sign says “The Lord is my Shepherd” etc.

PS - Don't forget to help me name my flying squirrel friend. ;0)  There's some Jelly Bellies in it for you!

  2. Hi Lisa,

Is it really that cold out there in April? I just love Christmas tree farms, a good feeling at them. Just came over from Lisa Newton's site and figured I would take a look at what you blog about. Looks good, I'll explore a little!

  4. that is so funny - what are they afraid of tree thieves?

  5. That doesn't look like a tree farm to me! Maybe it's been abandoned and is now gone wild. I think of tree farms as orderly and lined up, don't you?
I'd have to name a flying squirrel Rocky! (showing my age!)

  10. I guess some go for the natural look. I can see having a sign to say stay out. Around Christmas time we get suspicious of people who stop with a truck at the end of our property and start eyeing up a tree. We had that happen when we were arriving home once and we pulled up behind the vehicle and the guy jumped in and kept on going.

The girls have named a couple squirrels around our place. The first was Jamie because they didn't know if it was a boy or girl and the second they named Carroll.

  11. I still say there's no other name for a flying squirrel besides "Rocky". I think it's a rule even.

Everything about that second scene seems off. Not the photo, the photo's fine. It's the subject that seems off. strange, and not in a good way.

Besides, haven't you had enough of winter yet? Good grief!

  13. You live in Siberia? What's with all the snow? (spoken by someone sitting back sipping a margarita in the 75 degree shade)
And what about Fibi. You've been holding back on us! You should read the book "Merry Christmas/KEEP OUT and other oxymora" to see what's going on with that.

  16. maybe scrooge owns it! That is too funny though! I love it cause it is amazing that a tree farm would say that when they are advertising! ha ha ha!

"Does this sweater make my butt look big?"

  18. ? Maybe if you want the trees to be ready for Christmas you need to leave them alone? Cute doggy. It doesn't make her butt look big, if she was wondering.
