Fun Monday - Favorite Plant

Since we moved recently I don't have many plants.  In fact, this tiny orchid is the only plant inside the house.  Outside of the house I have a dying mum, lol.

Brodi loves it too. ;)

In another lifetime, before facebook existed, I had loads of fun with women all over the world, sharing a pieces of our lives in posts we called Fun Monday.  A few of us have decided to post everyday this month and a few of decided to bring Fun Monday out of hibernation.  Feel free to join us, if you do, let me know and I'll add your link here. ;)

Swampy over at Anecdotes has the full list of people playing. :)

Oh, PS, I'm hosting a Christmas Ornament Swap, if you're interested in signing up let me know.

  2. Your orchid is beautiful! My husband gave me one for Mother's day. It kept its blooms a long time, then suddenly dropped them all. Then more blooms, then gone again - along with the leaves. We're not sure, but it might be dead. Right now, we have a nice little pot with a bent over stick in it. I'm hoping it will come back again. Growing things is not something I'm good at.

  3. So does my favorite plant have to be indoor or outdoor? And I would love to try to join your group!

  4. Indeed.... a beautiful orchid. I remember as a child it was considered a very tropical rarity. I've never grown one. (Do you remember reading Brenda Starr ... and her man with the patch on his eye, and his calling card: a black orchid?

  5. All those photos are fabulous . . . but that first one is breathtaking. Wow ! I've never had an orchid, but I saw some at the grocery store the other day that were gorgeous. I think I'll just go buy one and name it Lisa. Thanks for playing.

  10. After I read the book, "The Orchid Thief" - I was very wary of purchasing any orchids because I didn't want it to become an obsession, (even though I LOVE orchids). When we put our house on the market, the realtor suggested we put an orchid in the bathroom as a decoration. So - I did and it was beautiful. Once we moved, the bloom fell off and then it died. I was really bummed out. I've been debating whether to get one again or not.....
