Tiny Turtle Macro Monday

Macro Monday is easy to play, snap a macro (or any close-up) photo, post it on your blog and come back here and sign Mr Linky. Don't forget to visit each other. :)

Check out those mossy rocks!

lc1996

Why, those aren’t rocks at all.

lc1997

There were turtles popping up all over this small pond.

Tiny turtles.

And a frog watched on.

Sorry for the delay in adding Mr Linky, I can't put it in too far ahead of time or it won't work and I have been away from the computer all day (doing an engagement shoot in Madison) - whew, what a weekend!

  1. At first I didn't recognize what was in that top picture. Scrolling down it became apparent to me what I was looking at. These are really great shots. Is this a pond close to your home? Hope all is well. Good night~

  5. Hi Lisa,
Reminds me of the pond by our house - and going there with my younger son - and watching the turtle pop up and down in the water. Nice pictures!

  12. Great photos!! I went to a place down here in FL just like this. You can see in my "green cay" post where I found out that the green stuff isn't moss, it's duckweed. http://sharonissharing.blogspot.com/2009/06/green-cay.html

  15. Great pond pictures! The turtles are out everywhere, mating season? Perhaps.

  16. That first shot looks like something out of Lawrence of Arabia (I apologize for my deeply distorted mind). Perhaps it's the amphibian version. David Lean would be shocked.

  20. Love the turtle shots! We took a nature hike on Saturday and saw some of the little rascals as well - like hell I was going to let go of my tots' hands to take a pic of them though! I'm linking up my post of photos from that walk, and I swear there's a macro shot, down at the bottom. ;-) Hope you don't mind they're not all macros!
