Macro Monday - My son loves me (?)

Macro Monday is easy to play, snap a macro (or any close-up) photo, post it on your blog and come back here and sign Mr Linky. Don't forget to visit each other. :)

My son brought me a present - Moose Poo - sadly that's the closest to a Moose we got. It's sweet that he gathered it so lovingly in some birch bark though, isn't it?  And doesn't anything look great under a macro lens? ;0)

Maybe I would have preferred a wildflower present - but then there's the issue of the bug. . .

  3. I remember seeing an article about Christmas ornaments made from reindeer crap. Apparently if there's enough lacquer wrapped around it, pretty much anything can serve for the base. I just hope the lacquer wasn't clear-coat. Because ew.

But you're right... in a macro view, pretty much everything is interesting.

  5. So what did you do with the poo, after photographing them?

  6. Its fascinating what a macro lens can do to anything. Suddenly mouse poo, flower and bug- all become interesting subjects. My subject this wee is ants and aphids.

  8. I had no luck with moose either.
4 weeks in Norway and not ONE.
Your son's sweet. At least you know now close up what moose poo looks (and smells) like ;)

Nah, that wildflower might be a protected species and the pic is fine, thanks. Lasts much longer than the flower would have :)

  17. It is definitely the thought that counts! Still waiting for my Valentine's card from my daughter...they don't improve much on their gift giving, even when they reach the ripe old age of 23.

  22. One of the best things about having boys are those kinds of gifts. You just never know what they'll think is special. I'd say moose poop, lovingly gathered for you is the equivalent of diamonds LOL

  23. Hi Lisa,
Well, it's different! At least he didn't bring the moose, or maybe that would have been a better Macro! Mine is posted. Have a great day!
