Can you tell what these are?
Yep, sled dogs! They were riled up and ready to go!
But when the lady got out the harnesses, they all quickly sat down.
The transformation was immediate!
And soon, they got what they longed for.

beautiful shots and story. I love the clean simple lines of your blog
Magnificent creatures, and nice crisp photos! There is a Huskie or Malemute? in my neighborhood and he is beautiful! He has blue eyes too! His name is "Steel". He is very friendly and fun to pet since he has such a thick luxuriant coat! In the summer, he sheds in huge clumps of fur! d
Powerful dogs and displined.I have only seen this once and was I ever in love...great shots! women you do get around..TJ
Oh man, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to hitch a ride with those beauties!
These dogs are truly handsome. We had a husky once, and he was a handsful! We have gone up to Duluth, MN in the past to watch the Beargrease Dog race. Quite an event!!
Lisa... I have a confession to make.......... I am in awe of your fantastic blog and photos! You rock!!! This is SO SO fantastic.
What gorgeous animals. I love Sibes, but the climate down here is soooo wrong for them. Plus they're working dogs, and what do I always say about working breeds? All together now: "They need a job!"Still I have to confess, the temptation to take in a rescued husky or Rottweiler or GSD is... well, hard to resist.
Beautiful dogs...you can see they LOVE what they do!
The northland has so many interesting things! I've never seen a dogsled in person.
