  3. I was going to guess the body of a dragonfly....is it part of the butterfly? I can't see it. The butterfly photos are terrific!

  6. WOW!! I really need to look into a lense like that for my camera. What a beautiful close up with such vibrant color and detail.

    We have a place just east of Kansas City called Powell Gardens and it has a really cool butterfly garden. You need to let me know in the spring if you have time to stop and look. Beautiful flowers as well. And a A framed wedding chapel.....I'm telling you, you'd be in photo heaven!

  18. Ohmygosh ... these are amazing! I've never looked so closely at anything until I discovered your photos and I know I have much to learn, but I did post a second Macro Monday this week at Happily Retired Gal. I'm learning bit by bit and hope to get better with practice.

  31. WOW! These are AMAZING! I've never seen a butterfly this close up before! What weird eyes and that tongue! Totally cool photos! I've tried and tried to get butterfly photos close up but can never catch them. These are amazing!!!!

  32. Yay!! I love butterfly photos! I had a blast at the butterfly exhibit here at Powell Gardens over the summer. They are so beautiful. You did a great job with these. The lighting is great and the colors pop!
