Birds of a feather

I think Guineas are some the ugliestly adorable birds.

And no, we haven’t had a huge thaw, these are some photos I had forgotten about, taken this past fall.

This fellow reminds me of an old guy with tufts of hair coming out of his ears.

And I don’t know why but this bird reminds me of my Great-Aunt Zelda.

Silky chickens are so soft and fancy looking but their eggs are fairly small.

  8. I love the little birds - and that is so funny that one reminds you of your Aunt Zelda as I see people and always think of the animals they look like but usually not the reverse. Cute and sweet pics. Thank you for sharing.

  29. Lovely! Birds really are very interesting to photograph. I've been trying to find something "Feathery" all week with NO lcuk! lol! Where we these taken? Oh and yes, babies of any kind are so adorable!

  30. love the fluffy hen on the 7th photo!... Aunt Zelda look-alike might be due to the stance, or just the general aura:)... it must be funny to hear the different "clucks" of these hens --- an auditory feast!...

  31. I enjoyed them all ... have never seen a black & white rooster before! My sister and I went 'birding' at the wetlands yesterday so I'll have photos to share in the days & weeks to come too.
