Sunrise in Montana
So, back to the trip, we woke up very early in Jordan and hit the road, an empty road I might add. As I saw the world around me getting lighter I decided to take a peek over my shoulder - well that view was enough to get us to pull the car over.
The view to my right.
The view behind.
Here comes the sun! Anyone who has watched the sunrise, or set for that matter, knows how fast it happens. You must be fast to shoot the occurrence - all the photos above were taken with the point and shoot because I wanted wide shots and I didn't want to take the time to change the lens on the big camera for fear of missing it.
The moon was still awake as the sun came up. And the world was quiet, no cars, no city noises, everywhere I turned it was open road, open land and Big Sky!
Cell phone picture so I could facebook it right away, lol.
Cell phone pic showing the moon and the sun.
The big camera pointed at the moon. :0)
Yeah, the colors in the big camera are very nice.

ReplyDeleteAmazing shots, Lisa! These are spectacular, especially given that they are from a point-n-shoot. I'm over the moon with your big-camera moon shot. Just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAmazing ... and you got the sun just as he peeked up!
ReplyDeleteReminds me why they call Montana Big Sky Country.
Wow, those are some amazing shots! As I've gotten older =P and find it harder to sleep, I've come to love and enjoy sunrises. A beautiful sunrise always makes the day feel full of hope!
