My fish has stopped eating, he seems depressed. . .even with a mirror aimed at his tank he simply turns his back on the "other fish". His nature demands he flare up and fight, yet he does not. May I never become this despondent. As long as I keep fighting I stand a chance of winning.

Oh no....every beta I have owned has done that....I hope he snaps out of it!
ReplyDeletemaybe he's just needing some company. but don't get another beta, he'll only fight with it. hope he feels better soon. and yes, you keep fighting girl because you have so much to fight for. have a great night.
ReplyDeleteOh, poor Ember. I was thinking about him today and wondering if things had improved at all. I'm sorry he's not bouncing back. I wouldn't advise putting another fish in the same tank. We tried that once, a little yo-cat and after a few days, he was lunch. Another fish in separate tank might work though!
ReplyDeleteBettas can be depressed. I hope i never feel that way either.
That's so sad. And how the hell do you cheer up a fish? The normal stuff like chocolate and shopping just won't work. Maybe some wine?
ReplyDeleteYep. I like that you can learn from the world around you. I am sorry your fish is depressed, and I really hope you never become that way yourself. I think you are amazing!!
ReplyDeleteI hope Ember gets better soon. Maybe it was the visit to the beautiful glass that discombobulated him :-)
ReplyDeleteThis kind of behavior has happened to every single betta fish I've ever had. I suspect that Ember is not long for this world. I personally think they aren't meant to live like they say they are supposed to.
