pretending
My grandson has been very good at playing pretend since an extremely young age. No doubt this grass is make believe french fries with ketchup (his 3 yr old favorite food). Some days, when I'm feeling blue, simply pretending to be happy, putting that smile on my face, walking in my happy shoes for just a little while can bring about the happy feelings. But today, while watching my grandson play I did not have to pretend, but felt joy deep in my heart.

Thankfully he's graduated from "eating" my coasters to "eating" grass.

ReplyDeletehilarious--and I loved the way you photographed the event :)
ReplyDeleteBeing around a small child can change your perspective so much. It has been amazing to me to watch my Little One grow and see how much he can create from the world around him with his imagination.
