Macro Monday is easy to play, snap a macro (or any close-up) photo, post it on your blog and come back here and sign Mr Linky. Don't forget to visit each other. :)
I held a lobster - aren’t you proud? In this photo, my son is holding the lobster though so I could get a shot or two. I didn’t take the macro with me, so once again this is me trying to get a decent “macro” with a 400mm.
On a moving boat. While standing. And Haden was standing. Yes there were waves. And wind. And wobbly legs. And an unhappy lobster. So yeah, as I said, this was an attempt.
The starfish wasn’t much friendlier.
Very cool!! Who knew a lobster could be so cute. lol! The star fish is neat too, I've never seen a live one.
ReplyDeleteRock Lobster!
ReplyDeleteI love that drip on the starfish! It can't be easy to be a lobster. They are, let's face it, ugly. But they taste good. And they must by now know what is coming when they feel that grip. These are great. Nothing like a photographic challenge on a boat in the wind with youngsters!
ReplyDeleteAwesome starfish shot! The lobster - just throw him in a pot and I'll be a happy camper :-)
ReplyDeleteThat Lobster surely doesn't look very happy. Cool colors though.
ReplyDeleteThe Starfish did pose nicely .
B.
The starfish is my favorite photo. I agree that the drip adds to the starfish's debut. Hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteI love the starfish too! Hey, quick question...what should we pack for Maine? It looks like you all are bundled up here!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't hold a lobster like that at all! :)
ReplyDeleteThey do look rather alien-like. It's pretty cool that you caught that drop of water sliding off the starfish.
Great shots!
Hey it's not Monday yet... LOL. Cool pics..
ReplyDeleteWell like the vast majority of your "attempts", these rock.
ReplyDeleteTotally!
I've been gone for awhile, but I'm back shooting!
ReplyDeleteI love the vibrancy of your colors Lisa. Get close and personal. Would you believe I've never tasted lobster? Macro Monday is the neatest thing since they invented sliced bread. I look forward to Monday.
ReplyDeleteJohn
that lobster is making me hungry!
ReplyDeleteLove the lobster shot!
ReplyDeleteMy link is posted.
Yikes, the lobster looks disgusting, even cooked when it's red ! but your photo is a beauty ! Love the starfish, I had one when I was a child.
ReplyDeleteI love the starfish, reminded me of one of Nemo's friends ... :)
ReplyDeleteNo way could I hold a lobster! So I really admire anyone who can! Fantastic macros!
ReplyDeleteYou are something. I always get the feeling that you have a love-hate thing going with these crawlers. Was he dinner later? I hate to kill them but they taste SO GOOD! Nice photos, too! And the starfish went back to the briny deep, yes?
ReplyDeleteThere is NO way you would have gotten me to hold the lobster. However, I love the photos you got.
ReplyDeleteThe results look good even though didn't shoot them from a macro lens.
ReplyDeleteThe lobster looks the coolest to me.
Hmmm. The lobster photos make me feel glad I live inland. LOL Net photos though!
ReplyDeletewow, well done, great shots, you must have had to step back quite a bid to get it in focus with a 400mm. hope u didnt fall off the boat! :)
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job! I Love the little drop on the starfish!
ReplyDeleteYepp, neither Lobster nor star fish look overly happy :D
ReplyDeleteCool shots though for a moving boat and the 400mm :)!
The poor guy probably thought his life was ending? I love your "attempts". They still come out great!
ReplyDeleteAs usual, your pictures are fabulous, and the lobster picture is awesome. You must be having grand vacation in Maine.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting!!! Great shots too:)
ReplyDeleteamazingly detailed images, so interesting and fantastic!
ReplyDeleteGreat Pictures! And so colorful.
ReplyDeleteVery cool Lisa, love the starfish, I have a shot of one but there is no detail because it is laying flat in dark water. Your lobstaer and starfish have great colors and details!
ReplyDeleteThe Lobster images are a mouth watering macro compositions, I mean it Lisa.
ReplyDeleteReally impressive with a 400mm lens. I am a big believer in the little details (like the water drop) make the picture.
ReplyDeleteI'll hold a lobster all right, with my teeth and a side of melted butter.
ReplyDeleteHave you got candy for me, little girl?
Also sent you an email about the best link to buy your photos, will use the space you list here unless you want another. Do you know of any places in WI that help out local artists to display and sell their artwork?
Very, very cool! enJOY your day!
ReplyDeleteSo amazing. Always an awesome shots.
ReplyDeleteHave great week.
Regina
In the first photo, before I read anything, I thought it was the hugest, ugliest bug I'd ever seen.
ReplyDeleteYou did good, but you had to be WAY back. Really like the Starfish photo.
ReplyDeleteThe starfish, for sure.
ReplyDeleteYou are much much braver than I am!!!
