This week I’m more about the story than the photo. But doesn’t it look festive and patriotic?! Last 4th of July, I tucked one cupcake in the spare fridge to snap a photo of later. Then, in typical Lisa fashion, I promptly forgot about it.
The fridge didn’t get used much (we sold it in the garage sale), but each time someone got in it, the cupcake sitting on one shelf, all alone, always brought laughs. About May, it was decided that maybe we should just tuck it on the plate with this year’s cupcakes and see who grabbed it.
But I’m not totally heartless, so here, one year later I took photos of it - then threw it away. Now I can’t say how it tasted, but doesn’t it scare you that a Wal-Mart cupcake looks so good after a year?!
Oh my...I think I'm going to have to start baking my own cupcakes from now on....but it does look pretty!
ReplyDeleteNice shots of the cupcake even if it was 1yr old. Hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteI thought twinkies had a great shelf life!
ReplyDeleteYes it does. Your package should be there by tomorrow, when it's summer again, I hope.
ReplyDeleteits like an everlasting twinky... and I thought those stories were exaggerated.
ReplyDeleteOh My Goodness! Bad enough all those additives in the bright colours but a year later & no mould! Scary!
ReplyDeleteMakes a good photo though.
Wow, it looks so...edible! Makes you wonder what they use in it to keep it "looking" fresh for a full year! Scary!!
ReplyDeleteThose expiration dates always scare me...you know the ones that say the product doesn't expire for 4 years!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a fabulous 4th of July!
It is amazing...but I dare say that probably a lot of our food...Walmart or not...is filled with preservatives. Happy 4th!
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't know. All I can say is that those colors are amazing (and happy 4th of July, Lisa).
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool picture!
ReplyDeleteHilarious! And I'm glad the cupcake was from Walmart...for a while there I was thinking you had decorated it yourself!
ReplyDeletewow! im amazed that it looks so good after a year.
ReplyDeletegreat photo friday
That... is... after a year? WOW!!! It still looks yummy, I would probably have been the first to grab it :P
ReplyDeleteYummy
ReplyDeleteI shudder to think what kind of embalming chemicals they must use to keep that from becoming a science experiment after a whole year. That's more than a little creepy. But it's still photogenic!
ReplyDeleteToo funny! And it is scary to think it looks this good after a year!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is funny and good you are not heartless. Scary it would last so long in it's form. I am sure the refrigeration helped.
ReplyDeleteThat IS scary! I'm afraid if it looked good and smelled good, I'd have tasted it!
