Spring is coming

IMG_5432

I live in a small town, in the long-winter-cold, where the ice cream shops close for the winter and return in the spring. This was the scene at our local ice cream shop the night before they opened.

And I went by the next morning too. Belt's will have lines like this all summer long, and I've never tried them, lol.

Do you have signs of spring around you?

  2. Hey Lisa,
Wow!!! Our local ice cream shop (which stays open all year, but isn't very busy in the cold winter months) was pretty busy the last few days. But camping out, waiting for them to open?? That's taking ice cream seriously!!!!

And now...I have this taste for Rocky Road...

  3. That is such fun... and that is devotion to camp out like that! That place has to be good if there are long lines. Go and check it out for us, Lisa... We look forward to your ice cream report. ;o) Happy Weekend ((HUGS))

  11. I love this! I've never seen anyone camping out for ice cream, but what a wonderful idea. Even better is the fact that they all get ice cream for breakfast. My kids would love that!

  14. That is AWESOME! People are sure devoted to their ice cream aren't they? :)

The only sign of spring 'round here is that the snow is melting. It's unseasonably early though so I am still expecting a few cold snaps and snow burials before the "real" spring shows up. I'll keep you posted. ;)

  16. Oh yeah, all over the place. But I've never seen people camping outside an ice cream shop. I'd love to know the story behind that tradition.
