Many angels, candles, and stained glass. . .many confessionals.
A couple preparing to marry. See how huge the place is?
All of these (like the ones in part 1) were taken with the Canon 40D, 50mm 1.8 lens, handheld, with no flash, ISO 640 and shutter speeds of 8-15.
it is very beautiful. the symmetry, detail and craftsmanship is amazing. this reminds me of some of the cathederals i saw in germany.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! I like all the different angles you used in your photos.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I liked the stained glass in the series one photos...just breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteI love all the shots and love that you tell what settings your using. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Lisa! It makes me want to visit Minneapolis (I think that's where you said this was). I muttered today!
ReplyDeleteLisa, these are exquisitely beautiful photos. For me they also bring back memories, since I was born and raised Roman Catholic. Never was in a basilica, though. Oh, BTW, the link back to the previous post doesn't work.
ReplyDeleteI can not imagine such a place!
ReplyDeleteYour shots are wonderful!!
Was it hard to breathe in so much art and muse?
I love it!
Love TJ
For me arches are the most beautiful and amazing architectural structures. To think something that graceful can also bear a great deal of weight. Your photos are beautiful and I especially like the no-flash lighting.
ReplyDeleteIf you shot those handheld at those shutter speeds you must have no pulse. I am awed! Truly. Was that an IS lens you were using? Because even at only 50mm you should have realistically gotten at least a little camera shake at 1/8 to 1/15... or anything much slower than maybe 1/20-1/30. I'm also impressed that you got this kind of saturation at ISO 640, but I guess the shutter speed helped there.
ReplyDeleteTechnical wizardry aside, this is some truly inspired work from an artistic standpoint as well. Unusual angles (I especially like the shot over the sheet music and the shots through the doorways) and some pretty dramatic compositions as well. Very nice work! Portfolio promoting work to be sure.
All those little details make up for something truly magial.
ReplyDelete(I think Mojo is speaking in tongues...or maybe just way over my head!)
Breathtaking! What a beautiful place to be able to photograph! You, My Dear, have such talent!
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteAgain, a beautiful place! I love the wedding one. The little girl is sweet, and yes, the people show how huge the place is.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful!
