Would you believe this is art? Yes, it’s Forest Art and this is a continuation of the post on Tuesday.
Before we long we came up a turtle big enough to eat us.
Luckily, this is his tail end.
I think he’d make a good house, don’t you?
Near the tail of the wooden turtle there’s a Worldwide Letterbox Rubber Stamp Circle Poem (worldwideletterboxrubberstampcirclepoem). Of course, I had no paper so I stamped my leg, then promptly forgot about it and washed it off unknowingly in the tub. Let’s go inside the tortoise.
See, he would make a nice home, there’s a front door, back door, and skylights.
Here’s the nose. To the left is a river for us to fetch water from for our new home.
After I quit walking backwards and turned back around I discovered another art piece up ahead. The last on our walk.
This is the Tornado.
Beautiful and impressive, no?
Dennis is on his knees, but still, look how massive!
I love the art. That turtle is something else. There is so much talent in those woods. I wish I could experience something so great.
ReplyDeleteWow, that turtle is so cool! Hadn't seen that before!
ReplyDeleteWow this is amazing glad i came back to check your blog out again
ReplyDeleteBoh ! I am word and speachless !
ReplyDeletethe first i might have thought was a work in progess...ya know like supplies to be used. lol the others are awesome. i thought the turtle was a spaceship. a lot of craftsmanship in that and the tornado. what fun you must have had that day in the woods.
ReplyDeleteI'm in awe of the talent and craftsmanship...is this permanent or temporary expo? I'm hoping temporary...in the long run I'd rather look at the trees without any help from man.
ReplyDeleteI love them both! I'm always amazed at the talent people have.
ReplyDeleteYou have some wonderful photography among these pages. I'm here on Susan's sound recommendation. :)
ReplyDeleteHow cool!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter made me run all over the area doing the letterbox stuff - I have to admit, it was fun!
I love this Forest Art it must be wonderful to see it for real!

Ditto what Tracey said above. As far as I know, we don't have anything like that in this area. It makes me want to visit Wisconsin :-)

ReplyDeleteThat turtle is something incredible. Stunning. The tornado one is very filled with life.

ReplyDeleteBoth of those are out of this world.......I love the second installation, I can't imagine seeing it in person - lucky you!
ReplyDeleteThose are great pieces of art. We have a few of them like the first photo, right in our yard. I love the turtle and the tornado is really cool also.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a letterbox thing like that. Will have to research further! I think the "tornado" looked more like the aftermath of one. But it WAS beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a marvelous place! I love the turtle especially, but it's all amazing. Thanks for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
