This guy is a yellow jacket.

This one is a Bald-faced Hornet, or White-faced Hornet, and he was featured in my last Macro Monday.

    You make it look easy; I know it's not. Those little guys look clean too, almost like they cleaned themselves up for a studio shot!

    OMG! Spiders, bees, wasps, yellow jackets, etc.... those things have always creeped me out! But great pictures as always. Especially the last one, I've never seen one of those before (thank God) and he looks so shiney!

    these are great shots...but man, they do look fierce and dangerous! i love shooting things like this, but always a little nervous...know what i mean?? :) i LOVE your photography!!

    I see yellow-jackets in my yard frequently, but I’ve not been able to snap a close up … yet. Maybe someday?
