This butterfly has a daddy longlegs friend to the right.

And when she flew to a new spot she found another friend.

A different butterfly with a different little friend (on the left).  All of the above photos were female Cabbage Whites.

The one above is a male Cabbage White.

This male Clouded Sulpher landed on me so I handed hubs the camera.

And the wicked wind helped make more of him visible.

Apparently butterflies like company.

  1. These are wonderful shots...I honestly thought I could actually reach out and touch in a couple of them...the texture and clarity was that good.

  2. Love them all. I like to plant flowers that attract the butterflies so I can get these type of shots.

  3. Gorgeous, Lisa! Butterflies just fluttering by...We have a Butterfly Conservatory near us, and it is a joy to just sit quietly among them, watching them flutter from plant to plant. Next time, I'll bring my camera :-)

  5. How on earth do you know if it's a male or a female?
All I see is them fluttering by, if I'm lucky!

  8. Just wonderful photos, the Swallowtail was good too, haven't seen any of those in a while. Plenty of Sulphurs still around as of today, that might change tomorrow though. It's been some crazy weather.
