Macro Monday is easy to play, snap a macro (or close-up) photo, post it on your blog and come back here and sign Mr Linky.
Have I introduced you to my charming friend?
Mr Snizzles says that he looks scarier than he actually is.
Would you like a quill? You can use one with a bottle of ink to write fancy letters. Go ahead, take your pick.

I was very surprised by the porcupine and how soft it looked. We have two at our local zoo that are very spiny looking.
ReplyDeleteSure is a lovley fellow. I love your close-ups of the needles.
ReplyDeleteWow! He does look like a dangerous fellow. I have never seen one's face up close. Not too shabby for a prickly thing!
ReplyDeleteCount me in! I have a fuzzy, oozy creature this week!
Fantastic!!!!!
ReplyDeletei've never seen a porcupine up close. those quills are impressive...they remind me of poison darts. lol i sure would hate to have an up close and personal encounter with them!!

ReplyDeleteUp close they look like spears!
ReplyDeleteThe last photo also reminds me of a fish, but I can't think of what it's called.
Yikes, too freakin' cool, especially that last one. Hope you've got your fur out.
ReplyDeleteCool, he's my kind of friend, handsome and dangerous!
ReplyDeleteThis little guy doesn't look so tough --- until you see the close-up of those quills! Wonderful shots.
ReplyDeleteI stumbled on your blog and saw you did Macro Monday....here I was thinking it was something I invented a few months back. LOL. Well it's nice to officially join your meme. By the way, you have eautiful photos on your blog.
ReplyDeleteThe shots are great but what impresses me even more is that you could take the pictures ! I can see these animals only in a zoo !
ReplyDeleteYour macro shots are really incredible, really magnify the beauty of things that we never give a second look!

ReplyDeleteAwww...well, hello there, little prickly fellow! You are much handsomer up close!
ReplyDeleteI think Mr. Snizzles and I must have something in common, we both only get prickly when we're upset!
ReplyDeletethere is nothing worse than a porcupine and a dog. worse even than the skunk and a dog. great photo lisa.
ReplyDeleteWOW...that's incredible close. And a beautiful series of macro images
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful shots. I remember my BIL 's dog was hurt by Porcuoine.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen one in person.
So cool! But how do you "pick a quill"? Does Mr. Snizzle share? Or does he shed and then you can pick a quill?
ReplyDeleteAdorable little critter and wonderful macro shots. I'd have been a tad nervous up close and personal like that. ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa, I left a prickly rose close up. Loved your porky pine, they are a terrible creature...but better than a skunk! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little fellow - and how close you got on the last shot :D!
ReplyDeleteCaught your link off of Kath's blog and just had to check it out! Love those photos and that last shot is amazing! Off to add you to my favorite's list. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe only way your friend would loan me a quill is if it was embedded in my forearm. :p
ReplyDeleteI used to participate in Mute Mondays, but I really like this idea of macro Mondays instead!
