Macro Monday is easy to play, snap a macro (or close-up) photo, post it on your blog and come back here and leave a comment let's try Mister Linky. Don't forget to check out each others' macros.
My goodness, he's a bit freaky. I wonder what he was thinking as you came at him with that monster sized lens...he was probably frozen in place! Wonderful shots!
I only saw a little bit of your macro and it was enough for me...sorry I didn't wait for the complete upload, I am very scared of these things....bwaaaaahhhh Happy Macro Monday anyways! my pic is posted :)
Macro genius, Lisa, as usual! I haven't tried my own macro photos yet (other than a few with my parrot, whose contribution was to try to bite the camera). But these pics have made me look more closely at the details in my surroundings - odd angles, neat shadows etc. I hope to join in one day!
Hi Lisa, My Macro is up, the Sir Linky seemed to work! I took a soils class the semester I was supposed to take bugs..so I have no idea what kind of bug you captured but he is beautiful in a buggy kind of way! :)
Great shots, Lisa! I especially like the first one, and I don't think he's ugly at all. I'm amazed at how, when we get close enough and allow ourselves to really look, these creatures that we normally find so repulsive are really not so different from other more familiar forms of life and also how beautiful they can be.
I played and posted it on the Mr Linky List. I've been thinking about putting that on my photo challenges too - let me know how it works out. Hope you're feeling better :-)
That's one ugly bug. And one beautiful macro.
ReplyDeleteI feel like an extra in Starship Troopers.
Wow, that thing is pretty scary looking!!
ReplyDeleteOuch! All these poky things and an armed bug, too!
ReplyDeleteThis little guy looks like he is still wearing his Halloween skeleton mask. Wonderful detail! I think I'll call him Spike. :-)
ReplyDeleteAs for Mr. Linky, I put my link there for part 2 of the Butterfly Palace macros.
Amazing. How do you get that close to the creature?
ReplyDeleteHelp !! Monsters amongst us !!

Great captures. What is this guy? I'm sure that I don't really want to meet him.

ReplyDeleteLisa, your bug photos are just amazing! What is it? And how did you get him to pose so nicely?
My goodness, he's a bit freaky. I wonder what he was thinking as you came at him with that monster sized lens...he was probably frozen in place! Wonderful shots!
