Playing Red Squirrels

Humans weren't the only ones enjoying the huge Live Oak trees! A whole little red family were bouncing all around the limbs, lol.

Fish Pets

I enjoy watching this little scavenger keep the tank clean.

This is the little Indian Puffer fish that is smaller than my pinkie fingernail. So sweet. :0)

Some sort of Louisiana birdie

Sometimes don't you wish birds could understand you? That you could tell the feather friend to, 'stay there, don't move, perfect' and walk up, snap that dang little twig out of the way?

Maybe he understood, as he peeked around it. :0) I just couldn't decide if I liked it better this way or that. . .

Shivering Birds

Hold on just a little while longer dear friends, the snow will leave us soon.

At least my friend with the bum foot and broken beak doesn't have to deal with snow too. He had wonderful weather in Louisiana, maybe he could send some sunshine up here. . .please?

Louisiana birds

There were two of these on the side of the road, one flew off but I managed to catch one of them.



We enjoyed City Park in New Orleans and the birds did too.

Harry

Another member of our tank is this blue lobster, crayfish. We call him, Harry.



Since I took these photos, there was an incident. Big Mac, attacked him when we had them all out in a pail and hurt one of his claws.



He currently only has one claw, but we have read it will grow back. He has molted once since - now that was a sight!


I was quite worried about him for a few days, but he's getting along great now.

The Prairie dogs of Devils Tower

Love stopping by Devil's Tower National Monument!

We have walked around the base before and we saw a porcupine scurry away.

This visit was mostly about the prairie dogs though. I just love them!

He looks like he's praying to the grass gods, lol.

This fellow, or lady, is nice and petite.
