Puffballs are popping up everywhere. This one is about the size of a softball.
This one is bigger than a head, but it looks like a face, don't ya think? The smaller puff being the nose and maybe the stick is his cigar, lol.

ReplyDeleteThe second puffball is huge! I've not seen or eaten them since I was a young when my father and I went to the woods to dig them and morels to bring home. They were so tasty fried in butter. I hope some of the ones you find are in fact edible.

That's not a macro but a maxi shot ! I have never seen a puffball that size ! We have small once where kids love to jump on ! (me included !)

Hi - thats a serious puff-ball! It seems that you may be moving into autumn. We get similar (but mush smaller!) puffballs on the grass next to the road.
