Dragonfly Macro Monday

You never know where you'll meet a new friend, I met this dragonfly on the concrete by our car when we came out of the movie theater. (Snapped with the iPhone)

  3. Neat shot!
I like his shadow and that this pose makes him look like a little helicopter. :)

  4. Very observant. Better by your car than mine. I would probably have stepped on him/her.

  6. Hard to tell for sure, due to depth of field, but I would guess that it is a midland clubtail. They are a fierce river dragonfly. I have often watched them eat other dragonflies almost as large as they are. Great shot especially since you got it with your phone.

  13. Dragonflys are always interesting up close. Imagine them in larger size though....... saw a lot of blue ones on Ă–land this weekend but they are small and very fast, not photogenic at all ;-)

  27. You shot that with your iPhone??? Can you recommend a good macro lens for a Canon T3i? Am just not sure, my cousin uses some kind of filter system, but I dunno.
