Spooky Unique Country Cemetery

spooky cemetery

I need to periodically post some photos from warmer days to help remind myself that there is beauty and warmth buried under the snow.

One, bright, warm, fall day we stumbled upon this little country cemetery. It was the most unique cemetery I have ever been to.

There were several wooden crosses. . .

. . . a line of pvc crosses. . .

. . .and then there were the ghosts hanging from the trees. How do you think they got there and, um, why?

  1. That's the weirdest place I've ever seen.
The ghosts? To keep the ghosts away from ghosts?

  6. Was it Halloween? Really understand the neat to see photos of the warmer days. I have been doing the same thing. Trying to remind myself we will be through it before we know it. (Keep hoping!)

  10. Where'd you find this place? Plots 'R' Us?

Very strange hood you live in Lisa.

(And for the record, I got a Blair Witch vibe from the "ghosts" too.)

  11. Freaky bizarre. The PVC crosses are tacky but low maintenance and inexpensive. The wooden cross is rustic and interesting. The ghosts are just freakin' weird in a cemetery.

  12. All the ghosts hanging there do seem a little spooky. I wonder what the tradition is all about and what is on the minds of the people who are hanging them, literally. Looks like an interesting place to visit though with the creek and all the nice trees to feel and to experience.
