Any idea what kind of bird this is? He's bigger than the finches and juncos, maybe twice their size.

ReplyDeleteYup, I think Don't Bug Me is correct. Looked up Fox Sparrows in 2 different bird books and they look very much like this fella. Supposed to be quite big too: 7". That's a big sparrow!
ReplyDeleteThe only birds I ever see in the snow are the big black birds. I think all the rest of them leave here until the sun comes back again.
