Vicksburg

On our way to Louisiana we stopped by the national park in Vicksburg. We did the speedy tour, driving and looking, not much stopping, but at least we got to see it.

    Wow. That gunboat is impressive. So sad to think of the war on our own land between our own citizens. And yet, where would we be now if it hadn't occurred?

    I love Civil War re-enactments, and have always wanted to go to one at Vicksburg. Maybe someday. Love all the pics, but especially enjoyed the gunboat.
