Pampered ducks! The walk along the red carpet to their fountain every morning, and are tucked into bed at night on the roof. They retire after 3 months service. What a life!
We decided to have dinner at the Rendezvouz, to enter you have to go through the alley - and we were able to see the Peabody at the end of the block.
Cool shots! I lived in Jackson, TN for a couple of years. Daughter and I go to Memphis occasionally. We were there last fall. We didn't stay at the Peabody, we stayed at the Westin, but guess where we ate? Rendezvous. Yummy!
That's a funny story and having live ducks in the lobby must be interesting. The dog statues are a little freaky. Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteThis is very interesting....The dog statues look pretty realistic.
ReplyDeleteI've heard about the ducks before, but knowing how it started and that they're released into the wild after 3 mos., that's pretty awesome! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to know they are released to the wild. I thought maybe they ended up as the Duck Special on the Sunday Beffet.

ReplyDeleteI stayed there once and saw them going to Bed on their little red carpet. So cute!
ReplyDeleteI am trying to imagine the alligators chasing the ducks followed by the GIs. What a very cool place.
