When I saw these huge piles of wood dwarfing the wood burner, I thought it was a good representation of how tough our Wisconsin winters are. Within the last week we've seen actual temperatures of -20 F and windchills down to -35. I think the worst of the severe cold is over now, but really anything below 32 is simply cold, right?
Love it! We have had some unseasonably cold weather here also. - 25 degrees is just too darn cold!! I figure once it is lower than 10 degrees, I better just stay in my house in front of the fire. Maybe with a cup of hot tea.
ReplyDeleteGreat example of an image saying more than many, many words!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture. So typical of a clear, cold day. We got through a huge amount of logs in our woodburner at home this winter and I don't think we've finished yet!
ReplyDeleteIt speaks volumes! They are some serious wood piles.
ReplyDeleteWe hit zero yesterday morning, our worst in a couple of years.
This makes me cold just looking at it. I agree...anything below 32° is too cold :)
ReplyDeleteGreat shot Lisa! It gives me a chill just thinking of temps that low.
ReplyDeleteLove this natural beauty of snow-covered stacks of wood!
ReplyDeleteNow someone needs to haul that wood into the wood burner lol I am heading to get a blanket just from looking at this!
ReplyDeleteDo you heat your home using the woodburner? I know several families in WI who have switched from gas heat to the woodburner, and love it. Just have to keep that supply of wood coming!
ReplyDeleteWow, it's been far too long since I've lived in cold weather like that. I really don't think I could stand it!
