Do I continue

It has been forever since I wrote a post, do I even remember how?!  So much has happened.  We have moved from Idaho, which still makes me sad, but we are hopeful to return in a few years.  We are back in a state that embraces winter, it has to, lol.  We thought we had left these harsh winters behind, jokes on us.

I haven't been taking a lot of photos right now but probably will in the spring.  Currently, I'm busy working on some UFOs, three quilts and one knitting project I hadn't touched since Wisconsin.  I finished one of the quilts last month, the second quilt is ready to be quilted and the third is finally pieced and ready to be put together.  The knitting project is now knitted and just awaits being seamed - it's a spare tire cover for the Jeep.  What have you been up to?

It was frightfully cold the morning I took these, but the eagles eating breakfast helped me forget about my freezing fingers.

It was amazing to watch this guy test the ice, he would put a foot out, press, press, press then step forward.

Anybody missing this?

These sure didn't turn out as good as I had hoped.  I guess that's what I get for being too lazy to get out the big camera.  These are iPhone photos.  I wanted to share the wonderful ice and snow we got this week.  Winter is really hang onto us here in central Wisconsin. :(



 

The branches were full of ice, and ice dangled from the tire swing.  At one point a few days later the ice all spontaneously left the trees - it was very loud!

The snow encompasses everything, making the world silent and still.  It calms me and rushes me back to those chemo days - seems it snowed every time I had another treatment.  I am so thankful to still be here, and to be through with it!

We got a little more snow yesterday. Seems the piles just keep getting bigger. I really do love snow! But, even I am pretty ready for spring to come. Maybe we'll be able to grill out again soon?



Last winter we learned to take the top off the gazebo so the snow doesn't pile up and break the support bars, yeah that was fun. You think we could have a picnic? Well since we're still having to shovel paths for the dogs I'm guessing not.

The weight can be so heavy that it's nearly impossible to move, and just about the time you feel entirely trapped beneath it all, the sun comes out and helps lighten your load.

Do you see the photos centered? Since the update any new post I write the photos look centered in edit view but when I go to the blog they are left justified - weird.







We've had some black squirrels visiting our yard too. :) They are so cute!
