I keep suet out for the woodpeckers, they seem to appreciate it.
It's a deal I've struck with them - I'll feed you, you pose for me - it works!
See, he doesn't even care that I could reach out and grab him, he just ignores the big black thing aimed at him.
Yum!
Then, he acted like he was going to ignore me, but. . .
Off he flew, maybe I did get a little too close, lol.
Love these woodpecker shots....they're awesome! I just checked out your photography blog and you have some beautiful photos! I have a Canon Rebel XSi that my husband bought me last christmas and I'm still learning how to use it, but I'm getting better and better at it. I am having so much fun with it and I'm wishing I could buy a macro lens and a telephoto lens, but I will have to wait on that because property taxes come first. Arggg! I'm glad I found your blog through SWF!
