With all the people gathered around getting a shot of the Liberty Bell without them too turned out to be a challenge.
I was up to the challenge though.
John F Kennedy stood here when he delivered his address on the interdependence of nations. July 4th, 1962 - I stood here May 30th, 2009.
Abraham Lincoln stood here when he raised the flag on Independence Hall, February 22nd, 1861.
I have been there, but it has been years. My kids have never been, so I think it is about time to schedule a trip! ;0)
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures of the bell. I think it's neat how you were able to stand in the same place as the Presidents too. Nostalgic. Have a great day.

Glad you were able to get the liberty bell without people. Sometimes things like that can be such a challenge.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots Lisa. I especially love the shots that you just posted of the church. I'd gush about them on that post, but for some reason "it" isn't letting me!!!
ReplyDeletefor some reason I can't post a comment on your church pictures, but they are definetly worthy of a comment. What a beautiful house of worship.
ReplyDeleteThere must be something about the placement of the Liberty Bell that just makes the lighting perfect. I noticed the same thing in Sandy's photos of it earlier this week. Of course, it helps to have two such gifted photographers taking the shots.
ReplyDeleteThis is on our list of things for the girls to see a well. I love the clock!
