Going to the Philadelphia Museum

{I'm still in Missouri - basically NO internet, short trips to Hardees to take care of business needs - just not enough time to play right now. :(  I MISS YOU guys!  I'll be home Sunday and running around trying to catch up with you!}

Walking toward the Philadelphia Museum.

So many things to see.

Each for himself, gathered up the cherished purposes of life, its aims and ambitions, its dearest affections, and flung all, with life itself, into the scale of battle.

My husband is from Honduras - this is the first time I've seen the Honduran flag.

Yet, another, nice fountain. This one sits in front of the museum.

Do you think I like puddle reflections? :0) Yep, you're right! I do!  you should have seen me trying to get myself in the proper position to attain this one!

Finally made it up all the steps and found the museum locked. It's ok though, we had limited time anyway.

We saw the Rocky statue, and I had the opportunity to snap a photo of a lady snapping a photo of a man pretending to be Rocky. Which, from what we hear, happens many times each day.

There was an exercise class going on.  Wouldn't you love to be a part of it?!

I bet these ladies have great bums!

I'm sorry the comments haven't been working all day - thank you for letting me know - this is the first chance I've had to update the post and fix the issue.  We're in Missouri, visiting family and have to come to Hardee's for internet.  Mom and Dad's wireless is more secure than Fort Knox, lol.  We'll be heading back home on Saturday and Sunday I'll be trying to make the roads and catch up with you all!

Liberty Bell & Indepence Hall

With all the people gathered around getting a shot of the Liberty Bell without them too turned out to be a challenge.

I was up to the challenge though.

John F Kennedy stood here when he delivered his address on the interdependence of nations. July 4th, 1962 - I stood here May 30th, 2009.

Abraham Lincoln stood here when he raised the flag on Independence Hall, February 22nd, 1861.

It's all fun and games

Lest you think Philadelphia is all seriousness and historical, I need to show the fun side too! Huge game pieces delighted us in an area full of new buildings and old.

Dominoes, Bingo, Chess and Monopoly, to name a few.

Sorry - how I remember hours of fun playing that as a child.

I was rooked in and could have played for hours!

These unusual art features monopolized a lot of my time.

And amongst, all the fun and games was an important sculpture, not to be overlooked.
