Philly had so much to see that I swear my head was constantly turning and bobbing.
I love the architecture and clock towers and was continually straining to see them closer, from afar.
Why don't churches make steeples like this anymore?
I'm sure the builders felt so much pride as they put this all together, and stood back with contented sighs when it was complete.
I was thankful for a large median where I could pause, while crossing, and snap a full shot of this lovely building!
The lens I had on would not allow for the full view I wanted but I think you can still see how magnificent these are!
Then I just aimed up to get the rest of the picture. :) My neck was pretty tired after all the sightseeing.
But, so much to see!
Beautiful and full of detail. The "modern look" is nice but I wish there were more places designed like this these days.
ReplyDeleteGreat angles and perspectives of the wonderful details of these buildings.
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed at the grandeur of Philadelphia. I definitely need to visit this city oozing history.

Great shot, Philadelphia is so pretty. It brings my memory back to Italy, there are a lot of this kinds of buildings.
ReplyDeleteI need to get back there one of these days. I think the last time I spent any time there was when I was a kid. Great collection!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a really nice city.
ReplyDeleteLove that architecture. My neck would have been sore, too. And how BLUE the skies were.
ReplyDeletethe church is my favorite picture of all these beautiful structures. that steeple was incredible. i guess it takes to much time and money these days to create something that durable. your pictures are always so great. thanks for sharing.
