What would you name this series? The turkey kept pecking the GMC truck.
He paced back and forth pecking at it, and puffing up in agitation. Seems even turkeys are fed up with General Motors.
* Note: I have nothing against GM, although I've never owned one - the turkey was pecking at his own reflection, which I think you can see in a couple of these.
The turkey is in love!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots but I have to be truthful with you...my eye couldn't keep from going to the truck's license plate, which kept changing. I'm sure you did that so that the real license # wouldn't be seen. I just have this thing that I HAVE to look at license plates, maybe since when I was young we played the game where you looked at license plates for letters of the alphabet, or if it is personalized, trying to figure out what they were trying to say. Or especially if they can't figure out where to put the stickers. Here in FL the year sticker goes in the right upper corner, but some people just think they have to plaster those stickers all over the entire license plate. I know, I know...just let it go Sharon. Anyway, cool sighting of one crazy turkey!
ReplyDeleteHello Lisa~ These are incredible shots. I love how the turkey is pecking at himself. He seems rather content in doing that too. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDelete*snort* Not the brightest animal, however many species do that! Once I had a blue jay rage an amazing war with my window, where he apparently thought there was a rival. Beta fish will fight when a mirror is held to the tank as well. ;0)
ReplyDeleteWe have birds like that too, except they see themselves in the car mirrors and windows and peck at them and leave their "markings". Not fun to clean that up!
ReplyDeleteThis is what I think of your cash for clunkers program, peck peck peck, Great shots.
ReplyDeletewhat a catch! and the turkey is such an attractive specimen
ReplyDeleteInteresting observation from Sharon bout the license plate. I didn't even notice!
ReplyDeleteGreat captures of a beautiful bird who seems to be a bit vain!
I think he was trying to read the license plate ;) Can turkeys make an F sound?
ReplyDeleteGreat photos as usual !! What a bird ! I just did a post a few weeks ago about Turkeys that just walk around a Hospital here in New York City and surrounded Hot Dog Trucks ! Too funny. Benjamin Franklin wanted the Turkey instead of the Eagle for the symbol of America...i know , I 'm rmbling ..blog hoggin' ...ok ..two honks from NYC ..im out !
ReplyDeleteForget the turkey, how did you do that with the license plate?! I'm so far behind with technology! I don't even have Photoshop!
ReplyDeletelol what a particular shot
ReplyDeleteWe have wild turkeys here as you've probably seen on my blog; but this guy is one big bird! He's a handsome fellow too. I kinda think he didn't like the other handsome guy staring back at him.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots!
How neat to have a turkey in your yard! Great photos and thanks for ssharing yoru critter.
ReplyDeleteA sign of the times.
ReplyDeleteI was most captivated by the great job you did on those license plates! Dang!
ReplyDeleteMaybe he couldn't get over the license plate!
ReplyDeleteDidn't James Bond have a changeable license plate like that? I digress. (I usually just smudge out the license number myself, no way of duplicating a real license number that way.)
ReplyDeleteThe closest I ever came to getting a shot of a wild turkey was... well, actually nothing. They're very elusive when they want to be. Perhaps I should have put out a large mirror to attract them! Nice capture.
ROFL!! Silly bird!!
ReplyDeleteEven turkeys are making political statements now!
ReplyDeleteHilarious!
