Wouldn’t you just love to have one of these on every door in your house?! Imagine how costly that would be! Is the devil in the details - even in a church?
Macro Monday is easy to play, snap a macro (or any close-up) photo, post it on your blog and come back here and sign MckLinky. Don't forget to visit each other. :)
Beautiful details on the doors!
ReplyDeleteI love the bell that covers the key hole ... that's very cool.
ReplyDeleteThat's neat. That fellow is guarding a church? He is the tiniest patriot I have ever seen but apparently up to the task!
ReplyDeletetook me a min. to see the difference between the pics.
ReplyDeletewonderful locks and handles... and wonderful photos of the details.
ReplyDeleteYou make me want to post a macro (my favorite type of photography), just not sure I can keep up with a back to back post.... decisions. Thank you for hosing MM, I love it when I do it.

ReplyDeleteGetting you history On? What gorgeous details Lisa I am so envious!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool key hole. That sure would be a pain at home though!

Nothing like old ironwork, is there? I sure saw a lot more of it in Europe than in the US, that's for sure. Italy has some wonderful wrought iron, well preserved like your piece. Yes, want it on my house!
ReplyDeleteI am glad that it won't fit at all to my house, that safes me a lot of money unless I would unscrew one of the hundreds with treasures overloaded churches here in Belgium ! Beautiful photo !
ReplyDeleteGreat details on your macro shots here!
ReplyDeleteGreat details! I would love to have them at home.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty!! I love details on doors, but I've never seen any as pretty as this one!!
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable door feature! Large, solid, artistic and unique! Amazing photos!
ReplyDeleteThese are GREAT! Very well done!!
ReplyDeleteI really like to look at unusual locks and latches...but I don't NEED to have them in my house. ;-) This set is especially nice!
ReplyDeleteI don't usually go for really elaborate fittings in my own space, but I really love looking at them in other places!
ReplyDeleteI see you're test driving a new autolink engine... I'll be interested in hearing how that works out for you.
I just love that tiny bell. I wonder how many have overlooked it.
ReplyDeleteLove the details and the rich metal colors and textures. Kind of makes me want to change the hardware on everything in my house!
ReplyDeleteI love visiting old houses. The first thing that usually catches my eye is the old hardware they used. Such beauty!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful pieces of history!!
ReplyDeletelovely locks and handles.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures Lisa! Unfortunately we won't be able to make Wisconsin this trip. Due to my husband's illness, we aren't really sure what we are doing at this point. But, Wisconsin had to be cancelled as he really prefers to head home after we stay put here in MN for awhile. Fortunately, his daughter and family live here so he has been able to see them a bit....blurry as they may be at the moment. We are hoping for a little improvement each day, but driving is totally out of the question for right now!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I love the details on those door hardware. I love the bell covering the keyhole. lol What a delight to look at!
ReplyDeleteWow! Sweet handles! I love the last one, it would make a fabulous front door.
