Macro Monday is easy to play, snap a macro (or any close-up) photo, post it on your blog and come back here and sign Mr Linky. Don't forget to visit each other. :)
Check out those mossy rocks!
Why, those aren’t rocks at all.
There were turtles popping up all over this small pond.
Tiny turtles.
And a frog watched on.
Sorry for the delay in adding Mr Linky, I can't put it in too far ahead of time or it won't work and I have been away from the computer all day (doing an engagement shoot in Madison) - whew, what a weekend!
No Mr. Linky yet -- but my post is up. Here.
ReplyDeletethat's cute!
ReplyDeleteAt first I didn't recognize what was in that top picture. Scrolling down it became apparent to me what I was looking at. These are really great shots. Is this a pond close to your home? Hope all is well. Good night~
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure what they were until you showed me! Awesome photos!
ReplyDeleteLooking for Mr. Linky!
Wow, great Macro Monday shots! Have a wonderful week, Lisa :) . My entry this week is here.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! My entry is all about Poppy and will be up shortly!

Hi Lisa,
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the pond by our house - and going there with my younger son - and watching the turtle pop up and down in the water. Nice pictures!
I like the frog!
ReplyDeleteAwesome shots! I don't think I've ever seen turtles this small before! Amazing captures.
ReplyDeleteHmm... Mr. Linky seems to be AWOL again, so here's my entry for the week:
ReplyDeleteMacro Monday #15: "Shimmer"
Mine is also on animals....here it is: http://mummyjam.blogspot.com/2009/06/close-encounter-with-giraffe.html
ReplyDeletewhen I finally found out that it was mini turtles, I really was surprised ! what beautiful pictures ! but the frog eye I like the best ! Looks like "Big Brother is watching you" lol !
ReplyDeleteblub blub.
ReplyDeleteI was in Springfield last weekend and watched a turtle digging and covering himself up. It was kind of cool to watch.
ReplyDeleteAh, i thought the rog was a turtle too!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos!! I went to a place down here in FL just like this. You can see in my "green cay" post where I found out that the green stuff isn't moss, it's duckweed. http://sharonissharing.blogspot.com/2009/06/green-cay.html
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous...but the last one is my favorite!! Great captures!!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely series on this turtle, you have motivated me to do one post on turtle that I have been postponing for a long time now, maybe I will do it before end of June.
ReplyDeleteGreat pond pictures! The turtles are out everywhere, mating season? Perhaps.
ReplyDeleteThat first shot looks like something out of Lawrence of Arabia (I apologize for my deeply distorted mind). Perhaps it's the amphibian version. David Lean would be shocked.
ReplyDeleteNature is so beautiful! It is just still but full of movement (energy)! Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteFun captures, Lisa.
ReplyDeleteThese are delightful!
ReplyDeleteTiny turtles are incredible.
I love life around a pond.
I am looking forward to visiting everyone.
Macro photography has opened a new door for me. It is nice to share this adventure.

Hi Lisa,
ReplyDeleteThese are super fun shots. I love all the pondweed on their backs!
Love the turtle shots! We took a nature hike on Saturday and saw some of the little rascals as well - like hell I was going to let go of my tots' hands to take a pic of them though! I'm linking up my post of photos from that walk, and I swear there's a macro shot, down at the bottom. ;-) Hope you don't mind they're not all macros!
ReplyDeleteI love the frog peeking out! And my son and I love looking for turtles in ponds!
ReplyDeleteThose are great photos! It looks like the turtles are swimming in confetti LOL

ReplyDeleteI love the tiny turtles. Makes an interesting macro subject.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen any so tiny out in nature. I have only seen them in a pet store. Love the shots. Thank you for hosting this fun photo theme, it's appreciated. :-)
ReplyDeleteTurtles are so neato and tiny ones are even better!
ReplyDeleteTerrific tiny turtles and a frog, too!
ReplyDeleteIn the first one they look like they can run over water.
ReplyDeleteWhat Beauties!

ReplyDeletethe turtles always look so funny like this. Nice capture with the frog!
ReplyDeletethis is a wonderful series!... and in the first photo, aside from wondering what the "rocks" are, i also thought that the pond is a moss-covered ground!... but you really made my day with the frog peeping out from its hiding place :)...
